How it works
How Karma Oripa works
What’s in a pack, how packs are prepared, and how the Last Prize works.
What is Oripa?
Oripa is short for “original pack”. The format started in Japan: a sealed pack put together by a shop or brand rather than by the card company. Karma Collect makes Oripa from authentic Pokémon cards and publishes what’s in each one before it goes on sale.
What’s in a Karma Oripa
- One authentic Pokémon card in every pack. Our singles Oripa are sets of 100, 200, 300, 400 or 500 packs.
- A published pool. Each Oripa page lists the top chase hits and every hit card in the pool, for example “30 hit cards in 300 packs”.
- Every pack has a card. Packs without a hit card contain at least a Common, Uncommon, Rare or ACE SPEC card. A hit card replaces the base card in its pack.
- Cards for play and binders. Cards range from Near Mint to Lightly Played (NM–LP) and are not guaranteed to be Gem Mint or PSA 10.
The Last Prize
Many of our Oripa include a Last Prize (ラストワン賞), a tradition from Japanese Oripa. Whoever buys the final pack of the set also gets the Last Prize, for example a sealed booster box. Each Oripa page shows its Last Prize.
How packs are prepared
We fix the full pool before anything is sealed. Then every pack is shuffled, sealed and numbered before it reaches the shop, so the cards are spread at random across the packs.
Where to buy
Karma Oripa are sold in partner shops, not online. See Find a shop for the shops that stock them and which Oripa each one has.
Questions
Are the cards authentic?
Yes. Every card in a Karma Oripa is an authentic Pokémon card.
Can I return a pack?
Because the contents of each pack are random, all sales are final once a pack is bought. This does not affect your statutory rights, for example if a pack is damaged or not as described.
What happens when an Oripa sells out?
Its page stays online marked as sold out or ended, with the pool as it was released.
